Welcome ADA Rep Robert Murray
The ADA (American Darters Association) would like to welcome Rep Robert Murray into our growing dart family! Robert is representing the greater Jacksonville, FL area, home of 1,000,000 people.
Rob is a United States Navy Veteran, serving 2 deployments during war time in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was introduced to darts in a British Pub during his deployment. After a motorcycle accident in 1999, Rob picked the darts back up during his recovery playing 5 – 6 nights a week. Rob first joined the ADA at this time in Daytona Beach, under ADA Rep Pete Musslewhite. During this time Rob finished in the top 3 teams open format in the 2004 National Championship at the Riviera in Las Vegas, also taking home 3rd place in a blind draw there.
After a 15-year hiatus from darts Robert picked it back up in Jacksonville playing an in-house doubles league. Realizing he preferred the more organized format provided by the ADA he searched for a league in the Jacksonville area. Upon finding out there had never been an ADA league in that area he signed up as a rep. We are looking forward to growing our ADA family through his area.
Karl Remick, ADA Vice President says, “It’s always wonderful to see a member wanting to become a rep and take the ball and run with it.”
Robert and his wife Angela have 4 children and 9 grandbabies all under the age of 9 years old! He also enjoys spending time with his wife, offshore fishing, turning wrenches and racing his Mustang.
