Welcome ADA Rep Raymond Rathbun
The American Darters Association (ADA) would like to welcome our newest Representative, Raymond Rathbun to our growing dart family! Raymond is representing the great state of Rhode Island.
Ray has been involved in our sport of darts since 2002. He was attracted to the American Darters Association mainly because of the “National League” aspect. He likes that the league is the same and has the same rules across the country. “There are just so many options for my members, steel, soft, open or the handicapped ‘Neutralizer’ system. On top of that, so many team size formats for us to choose from. We like options”, he states with a smile.
His greatest dart achievement to date would be captaining two separate wild card playoff teams and moving them up to a first place position in the finals. Ray has won multiple local Championships in the state of Rhode Island and when he is hot on the Bullseye, watch out!
He is looking to expand his horizon’s with tournaments outside of his local area. So watch out for him as he would pull up on his motorcycle and stick his head in for a Blind Draw anywhere the road takes him!
“Its so wonderful not only getting a new Rep with us, but a bonus with one on the east coast as it hits close to home and where we started with darts in America,” adds CEO Gloria Remick.
When he is not promoting the sport of the darts you can catch him on the Harley. “I am an auto mechanic by trade and my hobby this year have been rebuilding RV Campers. I have my personal one refurbished and I am ready to hit the road. Heck, maybe I will bring to St. Louis for the ADA National Championship in July!”
“I would like to thank everyone from the ADA/ADL Home Offices for the continued support and getting me started in this new venture. A special thanks to the new ADA members and local players for having the patience as I learn and grow with my new ADA family!”
If you are in the state of Rhone Island and would like to get some more info about the ADA/ADL from Ray, please email him: rrathbun@adadarters.com
Thanks Ray for joining the ADA Family! Looking forward to growing the leagues with you!
