ADA Mid West Regional Wrap Up

The ADA’s final Regional of the year lands us in Blue Springs Missouri, right outside of Kansas City.  The annual event was held at Side Pockets by our gracious hosts, Bill Fickle and Sky Hicok along with their outstanding Side Pockets staff!  Side Pockets is located at 1237 SW 7 Highway Blue Springs, MO 64014.  Not only is the Mid-West Regional held at Side Pockets but it is also home to weekly American Dart League play for the Blue Springs ADA members!

ADA Regional events are open to all ADA members and to the public.  This year, ADA members and area Representatives from six different states joined together the three-day competition.  Special thanks to the ADA Reps in attendance: hosting Rep Cindy Larkins (MO), Chuck Brocar (OK), Erin Fetzer (TX), TJ Stafford (VA), JD & Holly Larson (IL).  ADA Professionals kicked off the event schedule with their Pro / AM mixed doubles event on Friday afternoon.  Congratulations to ADA Pro Martha Garcia (TX)/Mark C Arnold (MO) and runners up ADA Pro Vivian Rojas (TX)/Nate Fowler (MO). Saturday and Sunday consisted of all day events including singles, doubles and triple events.  Dynasty Darts Mobile Dart Shop from Illinois set up inside Side Pockets offering members the opportunity to resupply, shop for new items and discuss products with ADA Representatives and Dynasty Darts owners, Holly and JD Larson. Dynasty has been a proud partner and vendor of the ADA since 2013.  You can check out Dynasty Darts and all their great products here: http://www.dynastydarts.com/  Right next to the dart shop was our good friend Charlie Hanes with Card Parlour Darts.  Card Parlour darts is a steel tip competition which combines the strategy or Poker and the skill of Darts!  For more information about Card Parlour Darts check it out their website here: http://www.cardparlourdarts.com/ Although the Mid-West Regional was a soft-tip event, members had the opportunity to throw a couple steel tip darts at the Card Parlour board for a chance to win a board.  The high score winner of the weekend was ADA Member Patrick Kron from St. Louis MO with a final score of 160!  Congratulations Pat!

The Mid West Regional was an overall success!  It could not have been possible without additional Radikal dart machines supplied by ADA member, Jim Yates via Kraken Darts.  From the home office of Radikal, Ed McCammack, was available for all members during the event to assist with setting up the machines and any questions they had about league play, online ADA leagues, Radikal competitions and much, much more!  HUGE thanks to Ed for attending and being available for our members and showing your support!
