ADA Area 383 Shop with a Cop Fundraiser
American Dart League area 383 has partnered with Darnell’s Tavern to raise funds for the Milan, TN Police Department’s Shop with a Cop Program. ADA Representative Ginger Ferguson is asking each of her Members to donate $10 to this wonderful cause.
This year marks the 14th Annual Shop with a Cop program for the Milan Police Department. This program helps children in need during the Christmas holidays. The kids are paired with a police officer, who takes them out to dinner and on a shopping spree at the local Wal-Mart. They will also get to ride in patrol cars with the officer they are paired; with lights flashing. It is not uncommon for a child to request the same officer each year. In 2018, the Milan Police Department took 71 children shopping!
Families in need can fill out an application throughout the month of November. Those are available 24/7 at the Milan PD located at 7029 Telecom Dr. Milan, TN. If you have any questions about the program contact Chief, Bobby Sellers, or Sgt. Amber Pierce at 731-686-3309.
Donations for area 383 will be accepted at Darnell’s tavern. Contact Angel Fly at that location to donate. You can also donate to ADA Representative Ginger Ferguson in person or through PayPal. Please use the email address gferguson@adadarters.com and choose the friends and family option when donating. Donations a will be accepted through December 5th.
