A Championship Lost, but Not Forgotten

This week would have marked the American Darters Association’s 29th Championship.  The ADA and its members were looking forward to returning to the previously venue, the Sheraton Westport Chalet in St. Louis, MO.  Warm-up Wednesday would have kicked off the 5-day competitive championship ending with the ever-popular Sunday mixed triples event. We will have to rely on our past memories since this year’s event has been postponed.  Personally, without this year’s event, I will instead imagine the early bird dart members arriving Tuesday to check out the hotel, pool, and dart hall as we set it up, hugging the ADA Reps  who have taken time off from managing their American Dart League areas to attend and relax with their members, shaking hands with our partners and sponsors collaborating how we can continue the growth between businesses.  I will also miss the excitement towards meeting our new and welcoming back our existing members, laughing, sharing and hearing each other’s stories.
