Welcome new ADA Reps David Seibert and Cliff Mutchler!
The American Darters Association (ADA) would like to welcome our newest Representatives David Seibert and Cliff Mutchler! David and Cliff are taking over the Jackson & Cass Counties in Missouri and Johnson County, KS .
In regards to the ADA; David is the veteran. 2016 marks his 20th year involved in our organization! It seems fitting he is taking over the ADA Rep position on such a big anniversary year. One of his favorite moments was back in 2009. His team made it to the Finals Round for Neutralizer Team play at the National Championship, but they came up short and settled for second place. Still a great experience for him and his crew. David adds, regarding the ADA and American Dart League, “Mostly, it is the opportunity to meet with friends on a weekly basis, have fun and throw darts! The crew I play with, there is never a dull moment!” The ADA sums up his dart start, practice and career.
When David isn’t promoting our sport; he and his wife keep very busy supporting their 14 year old daughter in competitive cheerleading. They also enjoy traveling to the ocean during the summers and snow skiing when they get the opportunity.
Like David, Cliff also started in darts through the ADA. In 2011, Cliff threw his first dart with us. Again, very fitting that both partners got their starting point with the ADA/American Dart League. Cliff’s favorite moment is from his 2nd year of playing darts. He qualified as a Seeded Player at his first ADA National Championship in a Singles Event. “I was seeded 16th and won my first round match, but was defeated by the Number 1 seed, Ken Mccown (IL). It was a good experience, and drove me to get better.”
Cliff must have gotten his hand-eye coordination from the years of 1984 – 1986; when he played baseball at Wichita State. After playing ball, he still kept with the sport; coaching both his son’s baseball teams growing up. When not in front of the dart board; Cliff enjoys time with family and friends.
David and Cliff have some big shoes to fill in taking the reins from Cindy Larkins. She was the ADA’s longest running Rep; 25 years! Cindy signed on with the ADA in 1990 and never looked back. Cindy will continue to aide the new ADA Reps on consulting and data entry this first year. All three say it has been a great experience meeting each of the wonderful people in the dart community; and are looking forward to the future of the ADA 640/641 areas!
We hope you’ll welcome David and Cliff to their new roles in the ADA Family!
