It’s all ‘White’ at Unicorn!
UNICORN DARTS PRESS RELEASE
It’s all ‘White’ at Unicorn!
Ian White is the latest top darts star to join Team Unicorn.
The World No.12 will make his debut in Unicorn colours at The Masters this weekend when he plays Peter Wright on Saturday afternoon in Milton Keynes.
“It is a huge honour for me to be part of Team Unicorn,” he said. “It is a great move at an important time of my career.”
The aims and ambitions for White are straightforward.
“It is all about winning a ‘Major’, getting back in the world’s top 10 and having a crack at the Premier League,” he revealed.
White has made quite an impression in the PDC over the last two years to reach a high of No.8 in the rankings, but fell out of the top 10 after a disappointing World Championship when he lost in the 1st Round to now Team Unicorn stablemate Dimitri van den Bergh.
White has won four times on the tough PDC Pro Tour and has reached six quarter-finals in TV ‘Majors’ and he is hoping the new partnership with Unicorn will help him take the next big step in his career.
Unicorn Managing Director Edward Lowy is delighted to see White on board: “Welcome Ian! It is great to have ‘Diamond’ White joining Team Unicorn’s prestigious Maestro category. We have very much enjoyed prototyping his new darts. Ian’s signature Maestro darts will be available in the first quarter of 2016.”
The last couple of years have been a real whirlwind for White who has firmly established himself as one of the best in the business.
“But it is about time that I was doing better than quarter-finals in the big TV tournaments. I know I have the game, why is why 2016 is so important for me and my career.”
White will certainly be challenging for those titles under the Unicorn flag!
