2016/2017 Professional Status Averages Raised
2016/2017 Professional Status Averages Raised
By Karl Remick, ADA VP
ADA Representatives from across the country meet each year at our Annual Managers Convention. This time gives us one to two days to meet face to face over new programs, updates, events and rule changes. This year the convention was held in Orlando, Florida this past July. From the round table the first change we are announcing is the raise of the Men’s and Women’s Soft Tip Professional Averages starting on January 1st 2016.
Currently the averages are:
Men’s Soft Tip – 21
Women’s Soft Tip – 14
The new averages beginning of the new year are:
Men’s Soft Tip – 23
Women’s Soft Tip – 16
This change does NOT affect the 2015 Qualifications. We are not raising the Men’s or Women’s Steel Tip averages at this time.

We look forward to all of our members striving for the new Points Per Dart Averages in the Professional Darters Certification Program! Thanks for playing in the ADA!

Honestly I am surprised that the pro level for women has been so low. My average has been all over the board from 16 to 25. I would never even consider the pro status as a woman until I hit my average of 20. What exactly does it take besides the average to be considered a pro in this organization?

Thank you for the message and questions. Besides the 16 PPDA in 501 Soft tip/12 PPDA in 501 Steel tip, all you have to be is a paid current member and in good standing with the Association! That’s it! Are you currently in the American Darters Association? Thanks again for the message!
