ADA Member to Represent at The Bar Poker Open

 

Meet ADA Member Mark Hagan Jr, aka Walmark_Poker

Mark will be representing the ADA/ADL by playing for the $400,000 prize purse coming to the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas starting next week, Monday the 11th.  The Event is called The Bar Poker Open

Mark has been playing Darts for about 10 years now but is slowly competing more on the Poker side.  His father got him into Poker about 14 years ago.  He has played numerous hands since then and really starting competing in local and big tournaments within the past 5 years.  Since his official poker journey he has earned $10,000+ in winnings.  And hopefully much more to come! “I would like to take this full time and compete throughout the country, but like any dream to chase, I need to build up the confidence, practice/play hours and of course, earnings and funds”!

Mark just placed in the local Hollywood Casino Tournament, here in St. Louis earning him $1800.00.  “Just in time before Vegas.  I have been dealt some bad beat story’s and couldn’t seem to turn it around until this last one.  Thank goodness! Just in time for the big show next week”, he adds.  Vegas will be his first big out of state tournament.

When Mark isn’t ‘All In’ with Poker, he enjoys darts with his wife Jessie, playing Call Of Duty online and raising his 8th month old daughter, Scarlett.  “Poker, like darts is challenging and of course a huge part of it is mental, and another wonderful challenge is raising our little one, who by the way has started to crawl!”
