2024 ADA Representatives of the Year!
The American Darters Association (ADA) Home Office would like to
Congratulate ADA Representatives Heber & Shelley Edwards on achieving 2024’s ADA Rep of the Year Award!
Heber and Shelley have been with the ADA as members since 2019. They started out as Division Reps before purchasing their own Wyoming territory in 2022, from the previous ADA Rep Kyle Smith. They average 60 teams each American Dart League session and membership has increase in their area. The Edwards gives a ton of credit to their Management Team of Kenyon Edwards, Jessica Scott, AJ Saucedo, Latisha Nett and Tim & Kelsie Gardner, They are amazing, Thank you!!!! They all jumped in with both feet, ran leagues on their nights which allows Heber and Shelley to be members or have the night off. Their crew doesn’t hesitate to open when make-ups are needed and always represents their local Black Flag Darts Business and the ADA/ADL wherever they go.
What Heber and Shelley love most about the ADA/American Dart League is their devoted members who are always at the top of ‘Why we do it’. “We enjoy having the ability to run our leagues our way while sticking to the formats. We have had good success doing things like ‘Draw League’ to allow lower members to pick their partners, having a ‘Combo League’ where members play Steel Tip one week and Soft Tip the next, and pushes members to improve! The ADA Pro Darter Program has helped many of our members improve quickly and strive for that goal. Adding 501 helps it get us in line with other competing organizations”, they add.
But the Reps of the Year didn’t stop there. They have a great grip on their Black Flag Darts business and their American Dart League territory! But good things come in three’s! The also own and operate The Oche. The dart mecca of Cheyenne WY! If you have never been to The Oche, get it on your #dart bucket list! About The Oche: “We are a unique location with all different board manufactures under one roof, including Steel Tip. ADA Members and Local Players don’t have to travel from location to location every week. We display all of our members achievements in one place. Utilizing the ADA’s guidelines and family aspect, we have a very tight group of members who are always helping and supporting each other. We feel like we have created a culture for darts in our area. When we travel to tournaments outside of the ADA, we represent the Oche and ADA darts at every event by wearing matching jerseys. We are known thru out the area and it has resulted in many players coming to play with us for tournaments even if they are not ADA members, yet 🙂
If you are in the area in November, come by The Oche and watch the ADA vs. England Event: https://www.adadarters.com/event/2024-ada-vs-england-steel-tip-challenge/
Their favorite dart moment was buying the business, becoming ADA Reps and being selected as ‘ADA Reps of the Year’ for the 2024 year, in such a short time is probably the best!!! For Heber a very close second is seeing his wife Shelley become the quality, respected dart member she is. As far as play goes, their State Dart Tournament has a “Dream Team” Event. “We are able to get our members and players qualified to participate (you must be NDA sanctioned to play) and our Men’s 4 man team won the event!! The Cheyenne area has not won the event for many years, so it was nice to represent Cheyenne Darts and to represent the ADA and The Oche at that level,” Heber proudly says.
In their spare time aside from darts they enjoy camping, spending time with their kids and grandchildren, traveling and darts is usually the reason we do.
Heber and Shelley would like to thank their management team for all their hard work. They also Thank the ADA Home Office for recognizing all their hard work, it lets them know they are on the right track but still have work to do.
Heber, Shelley and their team oversees the following counties: Albany, Laramie, Platte & Goshen County WY. If you would like to join the American Dart League with them please contact them: https://www.adadarters.com/people/heber-shelley/
Thank you Heber and Shelley for being part of our ADA Family and again congrats!
See you at the next ADA event!
