2018 Senior Dart Games Wrap Up

The American Darters Association has the pleasure of attending a lot of dart functions each year. The two that we really look forward to around the office each year are the Missouri Senior State Games and the Show Me State Games!
Both events are almost back to back from each other. The first event is held on Memorial Day weekend at the world famous Blueberry Hill venue. Blueberry Hill (BBH) is located at 6504 Delmar Blvd St. Louis MO 63130. If you have not been to this historic location, bring your steel tip darts and head on down to the loop. Amazing Burgers with many beer choices you will not be disappointed!
ADA Rep Chris Stone ran the first darts event this May. “It’s amazing to see these Senior’s compete each year for the Darts Challenge. You can say for some its their favorite event”, he adds.
The Senior’s compete in an 8 Round High Score Challenge in the “Dart Room”. Steel Tip Boards lined against the wall with collectibles galore surrounding the boards.

From St. Louis down highway 70, ADA Rep Ashley Remick and myself head to Columbia for the Missouri Senior State Games in Columbia, MO. This year the Games were held at the PeachTree Banquet Center. Not only did the senior’s compete in the Darts and Washers Challenge, but were fed an excellent meal hosted by Humana and the Missouri Senior State Games Committee along with a handful of other great partners.
Like BBH above, the participants were competing in an 8 Round High Score Challenge except they were on the other side of the board, the soft tip side.
“Everyone had a blast! I think they especially enjoyed our daughter Vivian assisting in the Registration and handing out the medals to the winners”, Ashley expressed.
I had mentioned to Ashley that I have been doing this event for the past 17 years and love seeing all the old faces that come back each year. I am amazed they recognize me. We pick back up right where we left off at. I would like to thank everyone at the Show Me State Games and the Missouri State Games for making this all possible and having the American Darters Association be part of these successful events! A special thanks to Emily and Greg in the Columbia event for everything! Thank you and see you next year!
