 The Summer is heating up and so is the Budweiser Pro Tours (BPT) and ADA Pro Challenges. The BPT's are held on the last Wednesday of each month, while the ADA Pro Challenges can be any day of the week during the month.
ADA Pros take on challengers in a doubles game of 501. There is no entry fee with prizes awarded throughout the evening. Even though Pros are involved this event is not geared for the best darters. In fact, quite the opposite as this evening is a lot of fun mixed with great competitive darts.
Starting time is 8:00 PM and participants enter with the ADA management team selecting their partner through a draw doubles format. During the two hours of competition any of the teams that defeat the Pros qualify for the 10:00 PM playoff with two grand prizes awarded at the end. Host locations change each month.
Sponsorship of the program comes from the local Anheuser-Busch wholesaler. Unfortunately not all are currently involved in the program so check the “Upcoming Events” section of the ADA home page for the tavern in your market.
April Budweiser Pro Tour Barre, VT
Location: South Side Tavern ADA
Pros: Lorne Langlais (20.1 PPDA) & Jeff Griffin (18.5 PPDA)
Region 1 on the most southern part of Barre, VT brings us to the first stop of the Budweiser Pro Tour, to the location respectively called the Southside Tavern. The Southside Tavern is a wonderful establishment for darts with a great atmosphere and friendly staff.
ADA League Manager and ADA Pro Lorne Langlais has done such a fine job promoting this event and the ADL in his area, local AB Rep Craig Clark decided to swing by tonight for the event! But he didn’t come alone, Craig also brought prizes for the BPT. A big thanks goes out to Craig for all his efforts and support.
The night went well taking on 12 challenges and the ADA Pros of Region 1 winning all 12! A bunch of 100+, 140’s and 90 high outs. A raffle was done at the end of the night and winners Doug and Gail took the winning Bud Darts home.
The night was yet another huge success for the ADA and Budweiser and we are looking forward to next months event.
April Budweiser Pro Tour Daytona Beach, FL

Welcome Region 3 to the Monthly Bud Pro Tour! ADA Franchise Owner Pete Musslewhite and League Manager Ott McNeely have been hard at work creating new avenues for the ADL in eastern Florida, and one being the BPT. Their first location is Diamondback’s in Daytona Beach.
Sharon Manning is the owner and has been an ADA supporter for years now. “A great location for darts and the food is outstanding!”, adds Franchise Owner Pete Musslewhite. ADA Pros Mike and Bobby came out of the gates strong in their first Pro Tour winning 13 out of 16 matches.
Diamondback’s had about 40 people there for the event as everyone watched on. Budweiser supplied the prizes and raffles throughout the night. A big thanks to them for all their support with the American Dart League of Florida.
April Budweiser Pro Tour Evans, CO
Location: The Adventure Bar and Grill
ADA Pros: Bob Wehde (20.78) and Sally Thorson (13.01)
As we leave the beaches of Daytona, we swing through the Anheuser Busch Brewery, pick up some Buds and continue on to the mountains of Region 6. Quite an adventure as we travel to the location, The Adventure Bar and Grill in Evans, Colorado owned by Rocky Byrd.
Long time friends and ADA Pros Bob Wehde and Sally Thorson take the stage against their challengers this warm night in April. Bob and Sally took the win 11 times out of 16 tonight against their opponents. Bob through 4 Ton40’s with the high out of 84 that night while partner Sally Thorson through a couple Tons to help out in the victories.
The Adventure Bar and Grill had over 40 people there for the BPT, and prizes were supplied from Budweiser: Hats, T-shirts, Bottle openers and koozies. Corey Dyben took the Grand Prize of the Budweiser Steel Tip Dart Board! See you next month for the BPT
April ADA Pro Challenge Wentzville MO
Location: CaddyShack
ADA Pro: Paul Schaeffler (20.20) & ADA League Manager Shawn Stengel (14.01)
St. Charles County switched it up a bit and had their first ADA Pro Challenge of the year. ADA Pro Paul Schaeffler teamed up with ADA League Manager Shawn Stengel from area 630 in the Pro Challenge.
The event was held at CaddyShack in Wentzville. One of Wentzville’s newest parkway additions. “A great location and even better food, and the prices can’t be beat!” says DR Marcus Paschedag.
They took on 11 challenges and won 7. Paul hit 8 Ton’s and Shawn a high 135 of the night. “It was definitely different throwing with a non-Pro in this event as opposed to a Pro, but Shawn did an excellent job holding his own” mentioned Pro Paul Schaeffler.
Area 633 will be back on the Pro Tour schedule next month in May! See you there!
